Cookies and local storage
What stays in your browser, and how to back it up or remove it.
Updated
Current storage
- Tool drafts (localStorage): fields, scores, evidence and records. Edits to old SWOT examples also stay in this browser; importing creates a copy.
- Manual work-update rehearsal: local storage retains the script, support, notes, and last ten completed attempts separately for each language; no audio or unfinished timing is saved.
- Previously saved IndexedDB data may remain in the browser and can be managed in site-data settings.
- Browser storage remembers language prompts and interface preferences. Necessary sign-in cookies identify sessions; they do not sync personal drafts.
Analytics and advertising
The production site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for page visits and loading performance without sending tool input text. Cloudflare states that this analytics service uses neither cookies nor localStorage for visitor state and does not fingerprint visitors. No ads are displayed. The Google tag is used for consent management with ad requests kept paused. Cloudflare analytics information
How to manage storage
Use browser site-data settings to inspect or remove cookies, local storage and IndexedDB. Clearing deletes local drafts and preferences and may sign you out; export important files first. Editing is possible with storage blocked, but recovery after leaving is not guaranteed.
When Google offers a message, use “Privacy & cookie settings” in the footer to manage or withdraw consent and save your choice in the dialog. If no message is offered or it cannot load, the control explains the status and ad requests stay paused. External advertising preferences do not record site consent.
